Pastoral and Academic Support

Immanuel Online School is committed to providing holistic support to each student, ensuring their academic success and overall well-being. For the live track, the pastoral and academic structure is designed to create a nurturing environment where students feel supported and empowered to achieve their full potential.

Stuents recieve a comprehensive progress report once every term. This includes detailed comments as well as attainment and effort grades from all tutors. Additionally, a break down of all assignments and tests is provided to highlight excellent achievement and/or gaps.

Parents are able to access the gradebook and feedback app at any time to check on a student's progress.

The role of parents

While Immanuel Online School provides live tutorials, pastoral and academic support, communication from tutors, and additional seminars and events during the year to support growth and progress, we must emphasise that this does not take away from the key role of parents as supervisors, as home education remains paramount.

The role of the parent is to ensure the highly effective flipped learning approach is being carried out effectively and to promptly inform the pastoral lead of any concerns regarding work ethic and time management.

We recognise that online schooling is not suitable for everyone and operate on a service-oriented model that works both ways. We do expect students to keep up to date with their assignments and tests and to engage appropriately and actively in live tutorials. We also provide supervisor tracking spreadsheets which parents are welcome to download and use if required.

Our commitment is to foster a collaborative partnership between parents, students, and the school, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience that aligns with each student's unique needs and learning style
