Year 9 Options evening (IGCSE selection)
Explore Meeting 2026-03-26 Online
We are delighted to invite you to our Explore event: Year 9 Options Evening on Thursday 26th March at 7:30pm. This event is an opportunity for students who are considering taking their IGCSEs with us to find out more about how everything works at IGCSE level (beginning in Year 10). You will also hear from both past and present students, who will share their experiences, insights, and encouragement. In addition, we will talk briefly about the future of jobs (in light of the AI revolution) and introduce an exciting upcoming project, The Who Are You Project (W.A.Y.). This initiative explores personalities and the different layers that make up who we are, helping students better understand what makes them tick, how they work best, and how this understanding might guide their future pathway choices. The meeting will be held via Zoom, and we warmly encourage you to bring your questions. If you are not currently enroled at IOS in Year 9 please email contact@immanuelonlineschool.com for meeting details.

Bible Memory Verse Rally (event suggested by Mrs. Pearce Higgins)
Suggested event 2026-03-14 England
Saturday 14th March 3pm - Event suggested by one of our parents. The Essex Protestant Council Bible Memory Verse Rally will be held by kind permission at Rehoboth Strict Baptist Chapel, where children and young people gather to recite a passage of Scripture they have memorised. This year the passage is 2 Peter 1:16–21 from the Authorised (King James) Version, and the speaker will be Daniel Tribe. Each child who takes part will also receive a commemorative Trinitarian Bible Society King James Bible marking the 500th anniversary of Tyndale’s English New Testament publication. The children recite the passage in front of the others and are judged for accuracy, clearness of speech, and expression, although the emphasis is not on competition but on encouraging children to learn the Holy Scriptures by heart; each child who attempts the recitation receives a certificate, and there are sandwiches and cake afterwards. One of our parent’s children in Year 7 and Year 9 are planning to come along this year, and it should be a lovely and encouraging event for them. If you would like to attend, please contact David Butler at djbutler@talktalk.net or 01384 910390 to let him know the number of children and young people for catering.
