Immanuel Online School (IOS) offers three distinct tracks
#1 IOS Live Track: This track provides students with access to the learning portal and live teaching sessions following a weekly timetable. More general detailed information about the IOS track and its offerings can be found here.
#2 NSW Learning Track: This track grants access to the learning portal and selected courses. Unlike the Live Track, there are no live teaching sessions. However, students can correspond remotely with their tutor, who will mark assignments and provide guidance. Click here for fees and more information on the NSW Track.
#3 Content-Only option: This option allows access solely to course content without an associated tutor. Students opting for this track will not have a tutor guiding their studies.
IOS Track - Live lessons, fully trackable virtual learning environment
Students can study with Immanuel Online School from any suitable location in the world with an internet connection. Students can study individually or with other family members (for example, from home or another quiet place where they can work) or you can combine with other parents to form a local study group, taking account of local laws on school registration. In this context, Immanuel Online School would provide online teaching and resources to students in a locally organised study group.
In England, for example, pupils may study in groups of up to four without needing to register as an independent school (noting though that registration is required for one or more pupils with an education, health and care (EHC) plan or a statement of special educational needs or who are looked after by a local authority). This means that churches or families can start small local groups for children enrolled in the school. If you are interested in forming such a group, we would love to hear from you.
NSW Learning Track - flexible/select your courses and be assigned a tutor
NSWLearning is an asynchronous approach to online Christian education that was established in 1999. It is asynchronous in that it does not have live online teaching. Learning material for each lesson is available on our learning portal / virtual learning environment (VLE) and can be studied at each child's own pace, providing the overall courses are completed on time. Each course is led by a subject specialist tutor, who can can be contacted by email for advice and who marks and returns student assessments.
